Harmonics Psychology Fees & Referrals
Information for Clients and Referrers
Fees
Clinical psychology services are exempt from GST.
Harmonics Psychology is a private billing service and does not offer bulk billed appointments.
Clinical Psychology fees are guided by the recommendations set by the Australian Psychological Society.
Payments are processed online on the day of your appointment.
A 24-hour cancellation policy applies, and the full fee is charged for sessions that are cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Please note that a Medicare rebate cannot be claimed for missed appointments.
Referrals
A referral is not required to see a Clinical Psychologist, however Medicare rebates are only available to those who have a Doctor’s referral and mental health care plan in place.
Referrals are accepted from your GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician to access Clinical Psychology Services at Harmonics Psychology.
Referrals can be made to Dr Jackie Cesareo by email at reception@harmonicspsychology.com.au, fax on (08) 8432 2484 or post to P.O. Box 90 Floreat WA 6014. If you would like to discuss your referral further, please feel free to contact Harmonics Psychology reception at 0447 526 635 and speak with Jackie directly.
Please include your referral letter along with a signed mental health care plan to access Medicare-rebated therapy services.
Please note Dr Jackie Cesareo does not offer crisis support or emergency services.
Medicare
A referral and mental health care plan from your GP enables you to access a Medicare rebate to subsidise clinical psychology consultations, for up to 10 individual sessions and 10 group therapy sessions, per year (Jan-Dec). These sessions can be attended face to face or via online therapy.
Your referring GP will schedule a return visit to review your progress after the first six clinical psychology sessions. At this point, your GP will provide a re-referral for an additional four sessions, if required. Reports to your Doctor are a Medicare requirement as part of this process.
Medicare rebates are also available if you are referred by a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. When referred by a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician, only a referral letter is required.
As of July 1st 2024, the Medicare rebate is $141.85 per session for a 50 minute consultation with a Clinical Psychologist under a mental health care plan. Medicare rebates can be claimed with a current Medicare card once your account has been settled in full.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health cover, you may be eligible for a rebate for clinical psychology services, depending on your level of cover.
You cannot claim from both Medicare and your private health fund at the same time.
You do not need a Doctor’s referral to claim a private health care rebate.
Family Court, Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle Injury Claims
Dr Jackie Cesareo does not provide assessments or reports for court or personal injury claims.
