Dr Jackie Cesareo

Dr Jackie Cesareo has over 20 years’ experience working with children, teens, parents and families. Jackie provides assessment and therapy for a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment difficulties, women’s health, parenting support and emotional regulation issues.

Jackie completed her postgraduate Clinical Psychology training at UWA in 2005 and since then she has trained in a range of therapies for children, youth, and adults, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Attachment and Trauma-informed models, Circle of Security and Lighthouse Parenting frameworks, Systemic Family Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Focused Therapy, Mentalization-based therapy, and Mindfulness.  

Jackie has a Masters and Ph.D in Psychology. Her Thesis was on the links between physical and emotional health throughout the lifespan, with a particular focus on chronic illnesses in childhood and adolescence.

Jackie has worked in a variety of settings, including the WA Health Department, Murdoch University, UWA, Primary and Secondary Schools and private practice.  She is available to provide clinical supervision and professional consultation for colleagues working in the mental health and allied health space.  Jackie works collaboratively with her referrers and has strong working relationships with GP’s, Medical Specialists, Psychiatrists, Paediatricians and my colleagues in Psychology.

As a classically trained musician and keen photographer, Jackie also has a special interest in the role of creativity and the arts in mental health. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her Boxer rescue Roxy. She loves nature, photography, the beach, travel and music.
