I have over 20 years’ experience working with children, teens, parents and families. I provide assessment and therapy for a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment difficulties, women’s health, parenting support and emotional regulation issues.
I completed my postgraduate Clinical Psychology training at UWA in 2005 and since then I have trained in a range of therapies for children, youth, and adults, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Attachment and Trauma-informed models, Circle of Security and Lighthouse Parenting frameworks, Systemic Family Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Focused Therapy, Mentalization-based therapy, and Mindfulness.
I have a Masters and Ph.D in Psychology. My Thesis was on the links between physical and emotional health throughout the lifespan, with a particular focus on chronic illnesses in childhood and adolescence.
I have worked in a variety of settings, including the WA Health Department, Murdoch University, UWA, Primary and Secondary Schools and private practice. I am available to provide clinical supervision and professional consultation for colleagues working in the mental health and allied health space.
As a classically trained musician, I also have a special interest in the role of creativity and the arts in mental health.
I work collaboratively with my referrers and have strong working relationships with GP’s, Medical Specialists, Psychiatrists, Paediatricians and my colleagues in Psychology.
